Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads in Hervey Bay is seeking a permanent AO3 Operations Support Officer to help deliver our vision of connected communities in Queensland. The role focuses on delivering reliable frontline customer service, processing applications, and supporting school transport services.

You will work in a small team, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure efficient operations while applying current procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with a range of stakeholders to ensure the efficient operations of the unit.
• Deliver frontline customer service including investigating complaints and providing information and advice to customers and stakeholders.
• Administer a range of passenger transport products, including exercising delegated authority to assess applications and determine outcomes in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and procedures.
• Support the delivery of school transport services, including administering the School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS).
• Assist with performance monitoring of service contracts and accreditations.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of procedural and legislative guidelines.
