Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor/Process Assistant for our Horsley Park Fulfillment Center. The role supports the Area Manager and oversees inbound operations and other process paths to meet daily production goals.

The position requires leading teams, managing labor, ensuring safety compliance, and driving operational excellence across the intake, stow, pick, pack or ship processes. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 38 hours+/week, overtime as required
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail
• Comfortable lifting up to 22.2 kilos, standing/walking 10–12 hours
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Providing coverage for Area Managers
• Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
• Ensuring successful area performance through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
• Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager

We’re seeking for an experienced Operations Supervisor/Process Assistant to join the team at our brand new Fulfillment Center at Horsley Park.

The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to your process path which may include receive, stow, pick, pack or ship.

Key job responsibilities

• Support and work in Inbound and other departments as required
• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties
• Providing coverage for Area Managers
• Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
• Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
• Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager

Basic Qualifications

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Previous experience leading teams
• Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Comfortable in lifting up to 22.2 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
• Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience directly managing others
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
