Job summary

Amazon in Melbourne is seeking an Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant) for the Fulfillment Center in Dandenong, on the day shift (7am - 5pm). You will support the Area Manager, guide team members to follow established processes, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

You will lead inbound and other departments, allocate labor, train associates, and track performance while promoting safety and efficiency. This hands-on role offers practical experience with Amazon tools and systems.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 38+ hours per week, with overtime as required.
• Previous experience leading teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members.
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Support and work in Inbound and other departments as required
• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties
• Providing coverage for Area Managers
• Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
• Tracking and reporting of labor hours
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
• Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Work 38+ hours per week, and overtime as required
• Previous experience leading teams
