Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking an experienced SBA Project Officer (Operations) to join the Central Operations Services team. This hands‑on role coordinates and implements project plans across multiple workstreams, building operational frameworks for the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator (SBA) as it moves into operation.

You will translate diverse requirements into sustainable systems, engaging researchers, clinicians and staff, with a focus on effective change management and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a project or operational role with stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with financial modelling and translating data into insights.
• Experience preparing briefs and presentations for senior audiences.
• Strong documentation and information management in complex environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with researchers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support development of core operational frameworks for the SBA, engaging with researchers, clinicians, and cross‑functional operational teams to understand their operational and technical needs.
• Support the development of workflows and initiatives that enable staff and students to experience the SBA as an integrated, high‑performing research and translation environment.
• Support communications, reporting and change management activities associated with establishing the above.
• Provide project coordination and reporting, including preparing papers, reports and project plans, and tracking delivery of milestones.
• Manage and synthesize data and information gathered through researcher engagement into clear, actionable reports and briefings for senior staff.
• Provide broader project support to the SBA as directed by the Manager.
