Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for an SBA Project Officer (Operations) to join the Central Operations Services team. The role coordinates and implements project plans across SBA, collaborating with researchers, clinicians and technical staff to build sustainable operational frameworks for the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator.

This fixed-term, full-time position offers a base salary of $117,133–$127,610 p.a. plus 17% superannuation, and supports a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a project or operational role with stakeholder engagement and facilitation.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
• Experience with financial modelling and analysis, translating operational data into insights.
• Experience preparing written briefs and presentations for senior audiences.
• Sound skills in managing documentation in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with researchers, clinicians and operational staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support development of core operational frameworks for the SBA, engaging researchers, clinicians, and cross-functional teams to understand needs.
• Support development of workflows that enable staff and students to experience SBA as an integrated, high-performing environment.
• Support communications, reporting and change management activities for establishing the above.
• Provide project coordination and reporting, including papers, reports, project plans, and milestone tracking.
• Synthesize data and information from researcher engagement into actionable reports for senior staff.
• Provide broader project support to SBA as directed by the Manager.
