Job summary

FM Global Logistics in Brisbane's Banyo Office is seeking a full-time, experienced, energetic, self-motivated Operations team member to record and manage international and national freight services.

Under supervision of the State Manager, you will work with the local team to ensure shipments are processed end-to-end, communicate with customers, agents and suppliers, and use CargoWise to register, invoice and report.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years freight forwarding experience.
• CargoWise experience preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency with Office software and data entry accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record and manage Import and National freight shipments end-to-end.
• Communicate with customers, agents and suppliers for timely completion.
• Use CargoWise to register, invoice and report on shipments.
• Support the Operations Team under supervision of the State Manager.

Job description

We have a Full-Time position available for immediate start for an experienced, energetic and self-motivated candidate to join our Operations Team in our Banyo Office.

Valid work visa or Australian citizenship/permanent residency is required for this position.

This person will undertake all aspects of recording and managing International and National Freight Services.

Working with the local Team and under the supervision of our State Manager, you will become an integral part of our National Operations Team.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Under the direction of our senior Operations Staff, handling both Import Shipments, you will ensure shipments are recorded correctly and handled promptly and efficiently and assist the Team in achieving a high level of customer service

The role requires direct communication with our Customers, Agents, and Suppliers, ensuring efficient, effective and timely completion of all tasks involved.

Utilising our software system Cargo-Wise, you will undertake the processing of jobs, end to end, including registering, invoicing and reporting.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone with experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry and a well-developed skill set.

A minimum of 1-2 years of freight forwarding industry experience is required.

Experience in the use of Cargo-Wise Software would be preferable but not essential.

Experience in the "End to End" processing of Shipments including documentation preparation, customs clearance, carrier booking, invoice processing, customer communication, and delivery coordination.

Competency with the Office suite of programs.

Excellent verbal and written skills.

A high level of data input skills is also required.
