About the Role
This role leads the performance, standards and growth of the Darwin restaurant network while delivering new store openings across the region. You will work closely with Restaurant Managers, Franchise Partners and cross-functional support teams to improve operational and commercial outcomes.
The role combines multi-site leadership, business consulting and hands-on operational management, with responsibility for existing restaurants and future growth sites.
Success is measured through sales performance, profitability, customer experience, team capability and successful new store delivery.
Key Activities Include
Operations & Business Performance
- Coach Restaurant Managers and Franchise Partners to improve sales, profitability and operational results.
- Review sales, labour, food costs, customer metrics and store performance, implementing improvement plans where required.
- Share best practice across the Darwin network and drive consistent execution of promotions and initiatives.
New Store Openings & Network Growth
- Lead new store openings from pre-opening planning through to launch and operational stabilisation.
- Partner with development, construction, marketing and support teams to ensure site readiness.
- Coordinate recruitment, training, rostering, systems, stock and launch activities for new restaurants.
Hands-On Leadership & Team Development
- Lead shifts in new, developing or current restaurants, modelling service, quality and operational standards.
- Recruit, onboard, train and develop Restaurant Managers, Assistant Managers and Shift Supervisors.
- Build capable leadership teams, support succession planning and manage performance through coaching and feedback.
Commercial Performance & Customer Experience
- Manage sales, labour, cost of goods and profitability outcomes across the Darwin restaurant network.
- Monitor customer feedback and performance data to improve service, product quality and guest experience.
- Support business growth through forecasting, operational planning and successful transition of new stores to local management teams.
Essential
- Proven multi-site leadership experience within QSR, hospitality, retail or fast casual environments.
- Demonstrated success leading new store openings or large-scale operational change.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour and P&L performance.
- Experience recruiting, developing and leading high-performing operational teams.
- Ability to balance hands-on operational leadership with coaching and consulting responsibilities.
Desirable
- Experience working within a franchised QSR environment.
- Exposure to regional or remote operating markets.
- Qualification in business, hospitality, retail management or a related discipline.
