Job summary

Tradezone Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own the busy Blacktown distribution centre, leading a 30+ team across three shifts.

You will work closely with our Sales Manager, implement a state-of-the-art WMS, and drive continuous improvement, safety, and leadership development. This is a permanent, full-time role with weekly pay and opportunities to shape our rapidly growing national business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in Operations/Warehouse Management.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing KPIs, performance and continuous improvement.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with Executive Management.
• Current LF forklift licence – essential

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Blacktown DC and oversee the Shift Managers.
• Monitor and analyse receiving, put-away, picking and driver KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Delegate workloads and resources across shifts to ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Coach and develop Shift Managers and warehouse team members to build capability and accountability across workforce planning, rostering and daily workload management.
• Drive a strong zero-harm safety culture, ensuring safety systems, databases and audits are maintained.
• Build strong relationships across Warehouse, Sales and other business units.
• Support employee engagement and work collaboratively with head office on staff initiatives and growth.
• Lead the team in line with Tradezone’s values and leadership behaviours.
• Work autonomously, use sound judgement and take ownership when challenges arise.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of our busy Blacktown DC.

This is a high-volume operation with huge potential, and we’re looking for a steady, hands‑on leader who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment, bring structure to the operation and lead a team through continued growth. You’ll work closely with our experienced Sales Manager, with both teams focused on delivering an exceptional experience for our customers. With three Shift Managers and 30+ team members across three shifts, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the operation, develop your leaders and build a high‑performing, engaged and efficient team.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

5+ years’ hands‑on experience in a similar Operations/Warehouse Management role

Strong organisational, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills

Experience managing KPIs, performance and continuous improvement

The ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast‑paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with Executive Management

Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills

A hands‑on, positive and highly motivated approach

The ability to motivate, coach and hold people accountable

Confidence using Microsoft Office and basic IT systems

Current LF forklift licence – essential
