Job summary

EnhanceABILITY in Bathurst is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the customer service team so speech pathologists can focus on clinical work. You will own operations, administration and people management to ensure a smooth-running practice.

The role is permanent part-time (25 hours per week across five days) with potential for growth as the practice expands. Prior healthcare administration experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in practice management, office management, operations, healthcare administration or similar roles.
• Ability to lead a small administration function and establish clear accountability.
• Reliability, thoughtful decision making within defined boundaries.
• Excellent customer service and front desk presence.
• Ability to interpret operational/financial information and recommend action.

Responsibilities

• Practice operations: client administration, intake, bookings, facilities and workflows.
• People and administration leadership: setting expectations, coordinating work, building accountability.
• Financial and business performance: overseeing billing and debtors, monitoring operations and addressing issues.
• Systems, compliance and risk: maintaining systems, registers and documentation.
• Improvement and projects: leading practical improvements to reduce duplication and simplify processes.
