Job summary

Australian Transit Group is seeking an Operations Support Officer to provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the COO and operations team. You will assist depots, coordinate fleets and drivers, and help ensure service delivery and compliant records.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and a solid understanding of safety and compliance requirements as the team keeps operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, or depot operations preferred.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, supervisors, and management.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and operational systems.
• Understanding of compliance and safety requirements desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the COO with daily operational tasks and coordination across depots.
• Support scheduling, rostering, and allocation of drivers and vehicles.
• Monitor and follow up on operational issues, delays, and service disruptions.
• Liaise with drivers, workshop staff, and control centre to ensure clear communication.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, and audit processes.
• Coordinate documentation including reports, checklists, and operational records.
• Support incident reporting and ensure records are completed accurately and on time.
• Track and follow up outstanding actions from audits, inspections, and meetings.
• Assist with fleet management tasks including vehicle availability, servicing schedules, and defect reporting.
• Provide general administrative support to the operations team.
