Job summary

Miepol Pty Ltd is hiring an EXPERIENCED Traffic Operations Coordinator to lead traffic management activities across the West and Northern suburbs of Greater Melbourne. You will spend time at our Sunshine yard while focusing on client sites and onsite visits, and the role includes a company vehicle.

Strong communication and safety practices are essential. You will assist with bookings, scheduling, and resource management, oversee day-to-day operations, and train new schedulers to maintain high

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year + proven experience performing Traffic duties.
• Must have the right to work in Australia.
• Construction Industry Card holder and exposure to Traffic Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily bookings, scheduling and resource problems and manage direct reports.
• Oversee day-to-day operations.
• Conduct regular site audits ensuring safety and quality in the field.
• Train new schedulers.
• Facilitate regular toolbox meetings and training.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements.
• Prepare regular operational reports to management.
• Ensure Traffic Management and Labour works comply with Traffic Management Plan and COP.
• Plan and Deploy events from start to finish.
• Ensure equipment for events is prepared and packed away.

Operations Coordinator - Traffic Management

Miepol Pty Ltd is a prominent service provider in the Civil/Construction Industry. Experienced in Civil Construction Infrastructure, Civil Design, Traffic Management and Labour Hire Services.

About the role

We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Traffic Operations Coordinator to work in the West & Northern suburbs of Greater Melbourne. Note: you will need to spend time at our yard in Sunshine, but your focus will be on clients and onsite visits. This role comes with a company vehicle.

Strong communication skills and adhering to safe work practices is essential to be successful in this role.
Successful applicants will have:

Assist with daily bookings, scheduling and resource problems & responsible for the management of all direct reports

Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations

Conduct regular site audits ensuring safety & quality in the field.

Responsible for training new schedulers

Facilitate regular toolbox meetings & training.

Identifying and implementing continuous improvements

Prepare regular operational reports to management team.

Ensure that all Traffic Management & Labour works are carried out in accordance as per the Traffic Management Plan / COP / AS1743.2 /AGTT

Working under strict deadlines and timeframes

Managing all events A-Z – Planning and Deploying

Ensuring all equipment for events are prepared and packed away.

Must have 1 year + proven experience performing Traffic duties

Must have the right to work in Australia
