Job summary

Lesssgo Traffic Management – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Traffic Controller to ensure safety for road workers, pedestrians and motorists. You will manage traffic flow through work zones and implement traffic management plans in line with Victorian standards.

Qualifications

• White Card (current and valid)
• Nationally recognised Traffic Control units for Victoria
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Reliable transport to travel to various worksites
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and incident prevention
• Desirable: previous traffic management or construction experience
• Desirable: flexible hours incl. mornings, nights, weekends
• Desirable: strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Desirable: ability to work effectively in a team

As a Traffic Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of road workers, pedestrians, and motorists. You will be responsible for managing traffic flow through work zones and implementing traffic management plans in accordance with Victorian safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implementing traffic management plans as directed
• Operating traffic control equipment (stop/slow bats, signage, barriers) safely and effectively
• Communicating clearly with team members, contractors, and the public
• Maintaining a high standard of workplace health and safety (WHS/OHS) at all times
• Setting up and packing down traffic control sites

About you

• Construction Induction Card (White Card) - current and valid
• Nationally recognised units of competency for Traffic Control in Victoria
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Reliable transport to travel to various worksites
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and incident prevention
• Previous experience in the traffic management or construction industry (desirable)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends (desirable)
• Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills (desirable)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment (desirable)
