Job summary

Site Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Eagle Farm. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a solid operations background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring and developing teams.

You will oversee day-to-day traffic management operations, coordinate the workforce, conduct onboarding and training, manage rostering, audits and safety, and build lasting relationships with clients and crews to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day traffic operations and workforce coordination
• Develop new revenue opportunities through proactive engagement with new and prospective clients;
• Lead, mentor, and support operations and field staff
• Build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships internally and externally
• Conduct onboarding and Training for new hires
• Conduct Site Visits and Audits
• Conduct Drug & Alcohol screening
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, WHS requirements, and traffic regulations
• Assist with rostering, workforce planning, and operational reporting
• Maintain strong communication with clients, crews, and management teams
• Lead a Safety-First Culture
• Provide leadership in the workplace by modelling high standards of work performance, positively influencing teams and individuals.
• Exercise analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate risks in relation to all traffic management operations.
• Manage and develop a team that will ensure that individual skills are enhanced and potentially realized.

About You

• Previous experience in Traffic Management operations or supervision of large workforces
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and lead teams effectively
• Confident conducting training, onboarding, and compliance activities
• Excellent communication and Organisational skills
• Experience of investigating Workplace Incidents and developing corrective actions
• Experience with Performance management of workforce and industrial relations compliance
• Flexible and willing to be on call after hours / weekends on rotating roster
• Strong understanding of safety and operational procedures

Requirements

• Traffic Management industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential
• Demonstrated experience successfully managing client relationships.
• Proven ability to lead a team, drive performance and provide exceptional service.
• An understanding of financial and business development principles to drive the profitability of the depot.
• Experience within a blue-collar environment
• Current Traffic Control tickets (not essential, but required to obtain after employment)
