Job summary

LogiHire Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive logistics coordinator in Brisbane to manage urgent shipments and keep customers informed. You will work with operations, drivers and airline partners to move critical freight from origin to destination as quickly as possible.

This role requires sharp organisation, strong communication, and the ability to adapt as plans change. Some weekend roster involvement is expected in a fast-paced aviation logistics environment.

• Experience in freight forwarding, air freight, courier or logistics operations.
• Calm head under pressure and the ability to find alternatives when plans change.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating urgent domestic and international shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Booking freight on the fastest available routings with airlines and partners.
• Arranging pickups and deliveries with the driver team.
• Tracking shipments in real time and stepping in early if issues arise.
• Keeping customers updated clearly and proactively, especially when plans change.
• Preparing and checking shipping documentation.
• Liaising with airlines, ground handlers, agents and customers under time pressure.
• Maintaining accurate job records and system entries for clean billing.
• Supporting the roster, including approximately one weekend per month.

The Role

This is a coordination role at the sharp end of logistics. Every job is urgent, most are one-offs, and the plan often changes halfway through. You will be the person who keeps shipments moving, keeps customers informed and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.

You will work closely with the operations team, drivers and airline partners to get critical freight from A to B as fast as possible.

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinating urgent domestic and international shipments from booking through to delivery
• Booking freight on the fastest available routings with airlines and partners
• Arranging pickups and deliveries with the driver team
• Tracking shipments in real time and stepping in early when something looks like slipping
• Keeping customers updated clearly and proactively, especially when things change
• Preparing and checking shipping documentation
• Liaising with airlines, ground handlers, agents and customers under time pressure
• Keeping job records and system entries accurate so billing is clean
• Supporting the roster, including approximately one weekend per month

What You'll Bring

• Comfort with some flexibility around hours, and availability for approximately one weekend per month on the roster

• Air freight or aviation exposure is a real advantage, but not essential for the right person
