Job summary

PERSOL is partnering with a well-established national wholesale business to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join their Virginia team. This hands-on role involves coordinating workloads, supporting a customer-focused team and ensuring orders are picked, packed and loaded accurately and on time.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will play an important role in keeping warehouse operations running efficiently while providing leadership and guidance to the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse workloads and allocate tasks to ensure on-time picking, packing and loading.

• Inspect customer returns and communicate progress through the process.
• Assist with stock replenishment and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support safety programs and daily toolbox meetings to uphold Chain of Responsibility.

PERSOL is partnering with a well-established and growing national wholesale business to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join their Virginia team.

This is a hands-on coordination role supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, with responsibility for coordinating workloads, supporting a customer-focused team and ensuring orders are picked, packed and loaded accurately and on time.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll play an important role in keeping warehouse operations running efficiently while providing leadership, support and guidance to the wider team.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate daily warehouse workloads, allocate tasks and ensure orders are picked, packed and loaded accurately and on time.
• Lead, support and motivate the warehouse customer service team, helping to maintain high standards of performance and accountability.
• Coordinate yard traffic and customer collections to ensure a safe and efficient experience.
• Inspect customer returns and communicate with customers throughout the returns process.
• Assist with stock replenishment, stock rotation and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Support daily toolbox meetings and maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve picking processes, warehouse systems and overall operational efficiency.
• Support the Warehouse Manager with recruitment, onboarding and employee performance matters.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and provide hands-on support to the wider team as required.

About You

We're looking for an experienced warehouse or logistics professional who enjoys a hands-on environment and is confident coordinating people, workloads and daily operations.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience within a warehouse, transport, logistics or distribution environment.
• Experience leading, supervising or coordinating warehouse team members.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• The ability to delegate tasks, prioritise competing workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to accuracy, quality and safety.
• An understanding of workplace health and safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• The physical capability to safely perform the requirements of a hands-on warehouse role.
• A positive, proactive and accountable approach to teamwork.
