Job summary

Coates is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator on a 12-month parental leave contract in Queensland. The role focuses on coordinating equipment, logistics and operational activities, while delivering outstanding service to customers.

You’ll manage mobilisations, workforce readiness, travel and site access, and support procurement and administration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment hire, construction, or related industries.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate equipment, logistics and operations in a busy environment.
• Sound administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Hands-on knowledge of small plant equipment.
• Understanding of major construction projects and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end mobilisation of shutdown crews, including onboarding, approvals and site compliance.
• Manage medicals, training, inductions and compliance documentation for workforce readiness.
• Coordinate travel, accommodation, transport and site access requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate hire equipment, logistics and customer requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and advice on equipment solutions.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, invoices, timesheets and related administration.
• Maintain workforce and operational data, reporting and compliance records.
• Support contract delivery through document control and administrative coordination.
• Assist with equipment servicing schedules, audits and HSEQ requirements.
• Build strong customer relationships while maintaining a Safety First culture.
