Job summary

Amida Recruit AU is seeking an experienced Operations Manager who also drives Business Development to lead project delivery and operational performance across Sydney. You will oversee brownfield and greenfield construction projects within civil, defence, fuel and energy sectors, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable outcomes while supporting growth.

You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, manage project finances and engage stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Experience delivering complex brownfield and greenfield construction projects.
Strong commercial acumen with budgets, forecasting, cost control.
Proven senior construction, operations or project management track record.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Strong business development track record securing new projects.
Experience in tender submissions and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

Manage an existing portfolio and grow it further.
Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering brownfield and greenfield projects from inception through completion.
Drive continuous improvements across project delivery processes and performance.
Maintain oversight of project financial performance, including forecasting and WIP.
Strengthen client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Lead bid and pre-contract functions, including tender preparation and mobilisation.
Proactively identify and manage project risks to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
