Job summary

Lindsay Transport is Australia’s largest fresh produce transporter, delivering temperature-sensitive freight to major markets and grocery distribution centers. The Operations Administrator role keeps our transport operations running smoothly in Queensland and offers opportunities to cross-train across departments.

Join a fast-paced team with a 8am–6pm roster (Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday). You’ll coordinate with customers, debrief drivers, schedule freight, and assist with load planning,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport administration, operations support, or scheduling.
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think quickly and decide soundly.
• Resilient and adaptable under pressure with excellent communication.
• Collaborative with drivers, customers and internal teams; transport industry experience preferred.
• BFM accreditation or willingness to obtain; NHVR regulations advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Driver debriefing: review and process paperwork for daily runs closure.
• Freight bookings and scheduling: manage delivery slots and customer requests.
• Operations support: assist with allocating and load planning.
• Local deliveries (if licensed) to customer sites.

Join our team in the role of Opertions Administrator and become a key player in keeping our operations running smoothly. You'll also have the chance to cross-train across departments and support the team during peak periods and leave coverage.

Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday roster available - 8am - 6pm.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Customer Coordination - Be the go-to for key clients and urgent escalations
• Driver Debriefing - Review and process paperwork to close out daily runs
• Freight Bookings & Scheduling - Manage delivery slots and customer requests
• Operations Support - Assist with allocating and load planning
• Local deliveries (if licencened) - assist with local delivieres to our customer sites.

What You'll Bring:

• Previous experience in a transport administration, operations support, or scheduling role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions
• Resilient and adaptable approach, with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Transport industry experience preferred, but not essential - training will be provided to the right candidate
• BFM accreditation, or willingness to obtain, with an understanding of NHVR regulations considered advantageous
