Job summary

Lindsay Australia Limited is seeking a PM Floor Supervisor to support the PM shift team at Sydney depot, overseeing temperature-controlled freight and ensuring on-time delivery. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and process improvement in a busy transport environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong decision-making, team leadership, and the ability to collaborate with drivers and dispatchers. A refrigerated transport/warehouse background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Decision-making and problem-solving ability to act quickly and effectively under pressure.
• Team development, coaching, and performance management in a fast-paced depot.
• Clear communication and collaboration with drivers, allocators and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of refrigerated transport and warehousing operations preferred.
• Understanding transhipping requirements for efficient workflow.

Sydney is one of the busiest depots in the Lindsay Transport network — and this PM Floor Supervisor role puts you right at the center of the action where it matters most. As part of Lindsay Transport, Australia’s largest fresh produce transporter, you’ll play a critical role in moving temperature‑controlled freight where timing and accuracy are everything. This role will support the PM shift team, ensuring freight moves safely, on time, keeping operations running smoothly and stepping in to support team members when required.

What You’ll Do:

• Foster a High-Performance Culture – Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure Compliance & Safety – Enforce NHVR regulations, fatigue laws, and company safety policies
• Optimise Fleet & Logistics Operations – Coordinate freight movement for efficiency and on‑time delivery
• Process & Performance Improvement – Maintain high operational standards and implement best practices

What You’ll Bring:

• Decision-Making & Problem‑Solving – Confidence to make quick, effective decisions under pressure
• Team Development & Support – Strong ability to motivate, train, and manage performance
• Communication & Collaboration – Work closely with drivers, allocators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
• Industry Knowledge Essential – preferred knowledge of refrigerated transport industry
• Warehousing Knowledge & Experience – Strong understanding of fast‑moving transport site operations, including transhipping requirements for efficient workflow.
• Operational Efficiency & Cost Reduction – Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and a results‑driven approach to improving synergies within depot operations while minimising costs.
