Job summary

Whitehaven Coal Limited is seeking experienced Technicians to support and maintain a wide range of Operational Technology systems across the Maules Creek mine infrastructure and mobile fleet.

You will apply strong fault finding and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment with minimal response times.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Electronics and Telecommunications, Auto Electrical or Electrotechnology or other relevant certification.
• Mine site experience is desirable.
• ACMA open cabling licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality solutions for site telecommunications including mesh, CCTV and industrial networks.
• Maintain two-way radio systems and radio/Wi-Fi point-to-point links.
• Manage fleet management systems.
• Oversee IT and OT systems including network monitoring and security systems.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and manage risk daily.

Whitehaven Coal are seeking experienced Technicians to join our dedicated team at Maules Creek mine providing support and maintenance on a large variety of Operational Technology systems across the mine infrastructure and mobile fleet. You will utilise your strong fault finding and problem-solving skills in a challenging and fast paced environment which requires minimal response times.

What You’ll Do

• Working across a range of systems and technologies, you will deliver high quality solutions for:
• Site telecommunications including mesh, CCTV and industrial networks
• Two-way radio systems and radio/Wi-Fi point to point links
• Fleet management systems
• IT and OT systems including network monitoring and security systems
• Demonstrate visible safe work practices, managing risk and acting as safety role model every day

What You’ll Bring

• Trade qualification in either Electronics and Telecommunications, Auto Electrical or Electrotechnology (or other relevant tertiary certification)
• Mine site experience (desirable)
• ACMA open cabling licence (desirable)
• Strong time management, troubleshooting & problem-solving abilities
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
