Job summary

Whitehaven Coal is recruiting a trade-qualified Diesel/Plant Fitter to join our team at Vickery.

You'll carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on mobile plant, respond to breakdowns, and keep CAT and Hitachi equipment operating safely. NSW Cert of Proficiency and relevant mining experience are preferred. This is a permanent role with camp accommodation and meals, offering a strong safety culture and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified fitter with NSW Cert of Proficiency.
• Experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of CAT/Hitachi machinery.
• High-risk tickets like EWP, Forklift, or Crane are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on mobile plant.
• Jump on breakdowns and keep machines turning.
• Work safe, think ahead, and report anything that doesn’t look right.
• Get through your work orders without needing to be chased.
• Pitch in and back your crew when it counts.
