Whitehaven Coal at Maules Creek Mine is seeking a skilled electrician to join our maintenance team, servicing and repairing heavy mining equipment and infrastructure to required safety and site standards.

You will work with minimal supervision in a supportive environment, with a permanent role, career development, and a bonus scheme alongside lifestyle roster and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency certificate in an electrical trade.
• Supervisor Certificate or Contractors Licence issued by Fair Trading NSW or interstate equivalent.
• Experience in mining or heavy industry or processing plant.
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic and fault finding skills.

About The Role

Based at Maules Creek Mine, there are multiple opportunities to join a team and grow in a supportive environment. You will work on a fleet of mining equipment, including CAT and Hitachi machinery, ensuring all maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and in line with statutory and site standards.

Working within the maintenance team, this role is responsible for the scheduled servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of Heavy Mining Equipment.

What You'll Bring

• Proficiency Certificate in an electrical trade
• Supervisor Certificate or Contractors Licence issued by Fair Trading NSW or mutual recognised equivalent interstate electrical licence
• Experience in mining or heavy industry or processing plant
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic and fault finding skills
