Job summary

WesTrac seeks an experienced Asset Reliability Specialist/Engineer to join our Mining Support Team at Cowal Mine Site. You will maximise CAT fleet performance, reliability and total cost of ownership, while identifying aftermarket sales opportunities and delivering on-site technical support and reports.

You will analyse fleet data, conduct wear inspections, and collaborate with customers to improve maintenance practices and drive business value in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade certificate or engineering qualification is required.
• Minimum 5 years post-trade experience on CAT equipment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify aftermarket opportunities.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot faults and generate reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Caterpillar and internal stakeholders on-site.
• Analyse fleet performance data to identify underperforming assets and solutions.
• Conduct wear management inspections and optimise total cost of ownership.
• Provide on-site technical advice, troubleshooting and warranty support.
• Recommend maintenance improvements and support lifecycle management.
• Develop aftermarket sales opportunities from fleet analysis.
