Job summary

WesTrac Cat in Mt Thorley, NSW is seeking a Product Health Specialist to join our team on a full-time, Monday–Friday roster. Based at the Mt Thorley Branch, you will provide technical expertise to support fleet performance and reliability for Hydraulic Mining Shovels and Large Wheel Loaders.

Reporting to the Product Health Manager, you will analyse condition monitoring data, lead improvement projects, and work with Caterpillar technical teams and site personnel to maximise equipment performance

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with CAT dealer experience desirable.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge and experience with Mining Equipment Management principles.
• Intermediate computer literacy – MS Office, email and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice to support reliability and performance of equipment.
• Analyse condition monitoring data, oil samples, inspections and repair history to identify improvements.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex equipment issues with manufacturers and customers.
• Develop lifecycle strategies to improve fleet performance and reduce maintenance costs.
• Coordinate projects across multiple stakeholders for successful outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and customer value.
