Job summary

WesTrac is seeking an experienced Asset Reliability Specialist/Engineer to join our Mining Support Team as a Site Performance Specialist at Cowal Mine Site, on-site. This full-time, permanent role operates Monday to Friday with relocation assistance available for regional candidates.

You will analyse fleet performance, optimise equipment reliability, and drive down total cost of ownership, while identifying commercial aftermarket opportunities for WesTrac.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade certificate or engineering qualification with 5+ years post-trade Cat equipment experience.
• Strong commercial acumen to identify and communicate sales/aftermarket opportunities.
• Experience with whole-of-life cost concepts and familiarity with CAT systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Caterpillar and stakeholders on-site at Cowal and Wagga.
• Analyse fleet performance data to identify underperforming assets and provide technical solutions.
• Conduct wear management inspections and provide condition monitoring recommendations.
• Resolve unplanned downtime with on-site technical advice and warranty support.
• Review and improve maintenance and operational practices, supporting lifecycle management.
• Develop aftermarket sales opportunities through regular customer engagement and fleet analysis.
