Job summary

Sime Mackay is seeking a technically skilled professional to provide on-site customer service and support to a leading mining company. Based in Mackay or Rockhampton, the role is permanent and full-time, reporting to the Resource Industries Support Manager.

You will build relationships with key stakeholders, promote safety, drive reliability, and help grow parts and service share while delivering proactive solutions on-site.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or strong technical aptitude.
• Customer management experience in mining.
• Experience in mining services or heavy earthmoving.
• Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Proactive approach to sourcing solutions.
• Team-oriented with a drive to grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Promote and adhere to safety requirements on site and in the workplace.
• Develop relationships with key customer stakeholders (Maintenance, Production, Engineering).
• Serve as a centralized point of contact to ensure consistency.
• Maximise fleet performance through reliability processes and defect elimination strategies.
• Create and execute sales and account strategies.
• Maintain and increase market share of parts and service.
• Communicate and manage challenges affecting fleet performance and satisfaction.
• Manage, document and resolve customer issues and enquiries.
