Job summary

Informa in Sydney (24 York Street) is seeking an Event Operations Coordinator to support the Australian International Boat Show (AIBS). You will assist with detailed planning, on-site delivery and exhibitor/contractor communications to turn the event plan into a functioning show.

This role blends hands-on duties with administration, requiring a methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and calm, confident communication in a busy event environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/Outlook) and related tools.
• Experience using AutoCAD or willingness to complete a short course to use AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with office-based operational planning, schedules, processes and documentation for AIBS and related functions.
• Communicate with exhibitors and contractors on space options, bookings, requirements, deadlines and orders.
• Prepare and maintain WHS plans, risk docs, inductions and incident records.
