Job summary

Informa is seeking an Event Operations Coordinator to support the Australian International Boat Show (AIBS) from our 24 York Street office in Sydney. You will help plan, coordinate on-site delivery and ensure WHS compliance while maintaining clear communication with exhibitors and contractors.

The role combines hands-on logistics with administration, requiring attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and to follow approved plans. Previous event operations experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in event operations or administration roles.
• Familiar with WHS and risk documentation.
• Ability to communicate with exhibitors and contractors.
• Experience with site coordination and on-site delivery.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operational planning and documentation for AIBS.
• Communicate with exhibitors/contractors about space options and deadlines.
• Prepare and update WHS plans and incident records.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate logistics.
• Deliver on-site operational functions per plan.
• Monitor WHS compliance and escalate issues.
• Respond to exhibitor inquiries within service timeframes.
• Maintain event records and post-event findings.
• Support continuous improvement for future events.
