Job summary

Informa is seeking an Event Operations Coordinator in Sydney to support the Australian International Boat Show (AIBS). The role combines hands-on site delivery with administrative tasks, requiring calm organization and clear communication with exhibitors and contractors at a busy event.

Key duties include coordinating planning, WHS documentation, and on-site logistics, while ensuring compliance with site rules and timelines.

Qualifications

• Previous event, project-planning, operations or administration experience.
• Experience delivering products/services to tight timelines.
• Ability to follow approved plans and procedures.
• WH&S, event management or project coordination study is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with office-based operational planning, schedules and documentation for AIBS and related functions.
• Communicate with exhibitors and contractors regarding space options and deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain WHS plans, risk documentation and contractor records.
• Attend site meetings, supplier meetings and operational reviews.
• Support floor plan, marina plan, access, logistics, security, and dismantling coordination.
• Deliver allocated operational functions on site per the plan.
• Monitor WHS policy adherence and escalate safety issues.
• Respond to exhibitor inquiries within service timeframes.
