Job summary

Private Advertiser in Redland Bay, QLD is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our on-site commercial construction team. This hands-on role manages day-to-day accounts, processes payroll, and supports project teams with documentation.

You will work with Xero, maintain accurate records, perform reconciliations, and assist with reporting, while liaising with suppliers and external accountants. A strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Accounts Officer or similar accounts administration role.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero.
• Experience with accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and payroll.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including preparing, formatting and managing spreadsheets, reports and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable.
• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices and payments.
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll and superannuation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with regular reporting.
• Follow up outstanding invoices and manage debtor enquiries.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and external accountants.
• Assist with project progress claims and variation documentation.
• Collate and organise project information and records.
• Provide general administrative support to the project management team.
