Job summary

Ventia is currently recruiting for a Guest Services Agent to support on-base accommodation services for Defence personnel at Simpson Barracks. This role involves managing bookings, check-ins/outs, maintaining records, coordinating inspections and delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have 1+ years in hospitality, a diploma or degree in hospitality management is advantageous, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in hospitality or accommodation.
• Diploma or degree in hospitality management advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Inclusive and safety-conscious approach to working with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead room booking and allocation for personnel posted or transiting through the base.
• Track and manage keys like a vault master (arrival, departure, and safe storage).
• Coordinate cleaning, maintenance and respond to service requests.
• Keep records sharp: occupancy stats, rank-room reports, logbooks, inventory and condition checks.
• Liaise with leadership to align accommodation with rank and availability.
• Perform quality room inspections to ensure everything is functional and welcoming.
• Welcome deliveries, manage IT programs related to bookings, and assist visitors and trades.
