Job summary

Better Rehab in Tasmania is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide assessments and therapeutic interventions for children and adults across TAS. The role covers community settings, with opportunities to work across multiple locations and ages 6 to 65.

The position is full-time and permanent, offering a salary range of $80,000–$120,000 plus super. Applicants should have a tertiary OT degree, current AHPRA registration, and a valid driver’s license, with a willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Own car and a valid driver's licence
• AHPRA registration
• Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• NDIS Working Screening Check

Responsibilities

• Present assessment based and therapeutic interventions to pediatrics and/or adults out in the community.
• Assess participant needs and design appropriate therapy plans for neurological, ASD and related conditions.
• Provide home modifications, equipment prescription and assistive technology guidance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and Clinical Supervisor; report to NDIS.
• Support participants and celebrate weekly wins.

Salary:

$80,000-$120,000 + super

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Present both assessment based and therapeutic interventions to pediatrics and/or adults out in the community


• Assess participant needs and design appropriate therapy plans. Working with participants with a range of conditions including neurological, ASD and many more.


• Provide support in the areas of home modifications (both complex and simple); equipment prescription including mobility aids, positioning supports, bathroom aids and seating; and assistive technology including self-care, low tech and learning aids.


• Collaborating with your multidisciplinary team


• Celebrating “Weekly Wins”


• Collaborating with your dedicated Clinical Supervisor and attend regular in-services


• Reporting directly to the NDIS

Qualifications

• You have relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy


• Clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
  
• You have your own car and a valid drivers’ licence


• You can provide evidence of:
