Job summary

KBR in Australia is seeking a highly motivated Project Support Officer to join the LAND 4140 Battle Management System program. You will support the Integration Project Manager across governance, scheduling, and reporting to drive delivery for Defence capability projects.

Ideal candidates bring Defence/Gov experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and familiarity with PMO delivery and MS Project. NV1+ clearance is required to work on this program.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex Defence or Government environments.
• Ability to prepare high-quality reports and briefing materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes.
• Familiarity with PMBoK, PRINCE2, Agile or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of Defence acquisition frameworks and lifecycle.
• Active NV1 Defence Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentations, reports, briefs, and executive submissions.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project.
• Assist governance activities and board reporting.
• Establish business processes to support delivery and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, suppliers, and system integrator.
• Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies; conduct QA.
• Contribute to planning and coordination across the integration workstream.
• Support work packages to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Provide leadership across small multidisciplinary teams when required.
