Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to deliver systems engineering activities across the capability lifecycle, supporting development, integration and sustainment of Defence capabilities. You will provide technical advice to support project delivery, risk management and informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate holds a tertiary Engineering qualification recognised in Australia, experience in Defence or aerospace programs, knowledge of Systems Safety and hazard analyses, and the

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering recognised in Australia.
• Experience applying systems engineering to Defence or aerospace programs.
• Knowledge of Systems Safety, hazard analysis and engineering assurance practices.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and contractor deliverables.
• Strong understanding of governance, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver systems engineering activities across the capability lifecycle, supporting development, integration and sustainment of Defence capabilities.
• Provide technical advice and engineering solutions to support project delivery, risk management and informed decision-making.
• Conduct systems safety activities, including hazard analyses, to ensure compliance with Defence engineering and regulatory requirements.
• Review technical documentation, engineering designs and contractor deliverables, providing recommendations to support quality and capability outcomes.
• Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Build strong relationships and communicate complex technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
