Job summary

KBR is a major provider of science, engineering and defence solutions in Australia. We are seeking a Finance Support Officer to join a dynamic Defence environment, delivering financial administration, budgeting and reporting services to support critical capabilities.

You will partner with the System Program Office, manage budgets, procurement, and governance, and contribute to decision-making with timely financial insights. NV1 security clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Finance (preferable).
• Experience in financial administration, budgeting, procurement, or contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
• Experience working with Defence ERP systems and financial management tools.
• Previous experience within Defence or Government environments will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Contract Administration: Create, maintain, and amend Purchase Orders and Outline Agreements within Defence ERP systems; support procurement and contract activities across projects.
• Manage commitment tracking and monitor aged commitments; support corporate card administration and goods receipting; ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Validate vendor invoices against contracts; coordinate timely processing of invoices and payments; maintain financial reporting data and support governance.
