Job summary

KBR is seeking a proactive Project Support Officer to join the LAND 4140 Battle Management System program in Canberra. You will support the Integration stream, coordinating governance, scheduling and reporting across Defence stakeholders and suppliers.

The role requires experience in Defence or Government settings, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality. NV1 clearance and flexible, professional development are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex Defence or Government environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reports/briefings.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain quality.
• Continuous improvement mindset and professional development.
• Experience delivering projects across schedule, cost, quality and risk.
• Experience in a PMO or project delivery team.
• Knowledge of PMBoK, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent.
• Understanding of One Defence Capability System.

Responsibilities

• Support project leadership with presentations, reports, briefs and executive submissions.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project.
• Assist governance activities including board reporting.
• Establish business processes for effective delivery and decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, suppliers and system integrator.
• Monitor activities and assist with risks, issues and dependencies.
• Conduct quality assurance and ensure compliance with standards.
• Contribute to planning and coordination across the integration workstream.
• Support delivery within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality.
• Provide leadership across small multidisciplinary teams when needed.
