Job summary

ITProposal seeks a Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer for a freelance on-call role in Australia. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve break & fix incidents across enterprise infrastructure with a focus on customer service.

The ideal candidate holds CCNA certification, deep Nutanix (AOS/AHV/Prism) and VMware/Hyper-V experience, and communicates clearly in English. On-site and remote support will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in infrastructure, virtualization, or IT support.
• Nutanix (AOS/AHV/Prism) and networking expertise.
• CCNA certification is mandatory.
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infra incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP networking problems.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Respond to incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infra and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records.
• Ensure professional interaction with end users and customers.
