Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager for Caladenia Nursing Home at Kilmore District Hospital. The role provides leadership oversight of the District Nursing Service and focuses on safe, high-quality, person-centred care for residents and their families.

The successful applicant will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage staffing and resources, ensure compliance with Aged Care Standards, and support continuous improvement across services within the Kilmore district.

Qualifications

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
A relevant management qualification, or progress towards one, plus postgraduate clinical qualifications where applicable.
Minimum four years' postgraduate nursing experience, with leadership in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

Provide operational, professional and clinical management of Caladenia Nursing Home and the District Nursing Service.
Lead and support staff, coordinate care and manage workforce and resources.
Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, care-minute requirements and accreditation readiness.
Oversee AN-ACC, quality indicators, and SIRS reporting.
Participate in Kilmore District Hospital Emergency Controller roster and provide relief for senior roles when required.
