Job summary

Northern Health in Melbourne’s rapidly growing northern suburbs seeks a Nurse Unit Manager for Caladenia Nursing Home and District Nursing Service. You will provide visible leadership, oversee clinical and operational management, and partner with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care.

The role focuses on staff development, workforce planning, accreditation readiness, AN‑ACC and SIRS reporting, and ensuring compliance with Aged Care

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with AHPRA and nursing practice experience.
• Relevant management qualification or progress towards one.
• Minimum four years' postgraduate nursing experience.
• Senior leadership in residential aged care with quality standards knowledge.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary clinical team with inclusive leadership.
• Knowledge of AN-ACC, quality indicators and SIRS reporting obligations.
• Strong operational, workforce and financial management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Caladenia Nursing Home and District Nursing Service.
• Coordinate care, workforce planning and resource management.
• Ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care delivery.
• Maintain accreditation readiness and compliance with standards.
• Oversee AN-ACC, quality indicators and SIRS reporting.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide coverage for DON/Site Operations Director when required.
