Job summary

Victoria University Secondary College in Melbourne is seeking classroom teachers to join our PLC-focused learning community across multiple campuses. The role focuses on planning, delivering and assessing engaging programs that meet diverse student needs and support growth from years 7 to 12.

You will collaborate with colleagues to implement high-quality teaching strategies, monitor student progress using data, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating student learning growth.
• Skilled in using data to inform teaching and communicate progress to families.
• Strong collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation.
• Engage in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake non-teaching duties as required.
