Job summary

RSEA Safety in Australia seeks a senior PPE & Workplace Safety Product Manager to lead our PPE and Workplace Safety categories across Retail, B2B and vending channels from our Hurstville operations.

You will combine deep PPE product knowledge with merchandise and commercial acumen to manage ranges, pricing, supplier relationships and inventory, while delivering technical product expertise to support major contracts and tenders.

Qualifications

• Extensive PPE and workplace safety product experience.
• Experience in product, merchandise or category management.
• Commercial understanding of pricing, margins and inventory performance.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and commercial agreements.
• Exposure to B2B sales, tenders and customer contracts.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability.
• Leadership or people management experience.
• Strong Excel capability and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

RSEA Safety is Australia’s largest independent safety retailer, supplying workwear, PPE and safety equipment across Retail, B2B and Hire.

With a national network approaching 100 stores and a significant B2B operation, we’re looking for an experienced PPE & Workplace Safety Product Manager to join our Merchandise team in Hurstville.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Retail Merchandise, this is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for our PPE and Workplace Safety categories across Retail, B2B and vending channels.

You’ll combine strong PPE product knowledge with merchandise and commercial capability – managing product ranges, suppliers, pricing and inventory performance while supporting the wider business with technical product expertise.

A key part of the role is working closely with our B2B sales team in the field, providing product expertise and helping win and service major customer contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage PPE and Workplace Safety categories across Retail, B2B and vending
• Develop and implement merchandise and category strategies
• Manage product ranges, pricing, margins and inventory performance
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate commercial outcomes

About You

• Extensive experience with PPE, Workplace Safety products or closely related categories
• Strong technical knowledge of PPE and site safety products
• Experience in product, merchandise or category management
• Commercial understanding of pricing, margin, inventory and category performance
• Experience working with suppliers and negotiating commercial agreements
• Exposure to B2B sales, tenders and customer contracts
• Strong financial, numerical and analytical capability
• Confident working across multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
• Leadership or people management experience
• Strong Excel capability and a proactive, autonomous approach
