Job summary

Leading Edge Childcare Deception Bay is recruiting for a Nominated Supervisor to lead a foundation leadership team and mentor educators in delivering high-quality early learning experiences. You will work with an experienced Approved Provider to shape culture and practice in a beautifully renovated service.

Leading Edge Childcare is excited to be opening our beautifully renovated early learning service in Deception Bay late 2026 (expected opening date early to mid November 2026), and we are currently recruiting for the Nominated Supervisor position

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our foundation leadership team and play a key role in relaunching a beautifully renovated service. Working alongside an experienced Approved Provider and supportive management team, you will help build a positive team culture, establish high-quality practices, and create an exceptional learning environment for children, families and educators.

As a member of our leadership team, you will play an integral role in mentoring educators to embed the Curiosity Approach throughout the service, fostering a culture of reflective practice, continuous improvement and meaningful play‑based learning. Together, we will create an environment where children develop resilience, communication skills, critical thinking, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

About the Role

As our Nominated Supervisor, you will:

• Lead, mentor and support a team of passionate educators through a hands‑on leadership approach.
• Build a positive, collaborative and professional team culture.
• Work closely with the Approved Provider and leadership team to deliver high‑quality education and care.
• Support the day‑to‑day operations of the service.
• Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations and National Quality Framework.
• Support staffing, rosters and educator‑to‑child ratios.
• Prepare for assessments and ratings, and support continuous quality improvement/QIP.
• Mentor educators to implement the Curiosity Approach and create engaging, inspiring learning environments.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the local community.
• Maintain an organised office while effectively managing competing priorities.
• Meet operational deadlines and contribute to occupancy and service goals.
• Use the Owna childcare management system (or be willing to learn).

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• A Diploma in Children's Services or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Previous leadership experience within a long day care service.
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
• Experience leading, mentoring and motivating educators while creating a positive and supportive team culture.
• A passion for play‑based learning and creating inspiring learning environments.
• Experience managing staff rosters and maintaining educator‑to‑child ratios.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Experience using the Owna childcare management system is highly regarded but not essential.
