Job summary

Chatswood Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide overnight care and clinical oversight within our licensed 23-hour hospital. This role involves a 12-hour overnight shift caring for post-operative patients and acting as nurse in charge overnight.

The successful applicant will have current AHPRA registration, strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work independently with excellent communication and patient care abilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, high-quality overnight nursing care.
• Monitoring and assessing patients and responding to any clinical concerns.
• Administering prescribed medications, including pain relief when required.
• Assisting patients with meals, mobility, and toileting.
• Performing morning eye care, including removal of eye dressings and eye toilet as directed.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and infection prevention requirements.
• Acting as the nurse in charge of the hospital overnight and liaising with medical practitioners as required.
