Job summary

Opal HealthCare in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for overnight night duty in a permanent part-time role. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, manage medications, and lead the night shift with guidance for junior staff.

The position offers mentoring and development opportunities through the Opal Healthcare Academy, scholarship support for further education, and a team-focused environment that values resident wellbeing and safety.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with AHPRA is required.
• Night duty experience in residential aged care is highly regarded.
• Strong clinical decision-making and leadership on night shifts.
• Excellent communication with residents, families and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents overnight.
• Monitor residents’ health and respond to changes or emergencies.
• Administer medications per policy and clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Support and guide care staff on shift.
• Ensure infection control, WHS, and quality standards are met.
• Participate in handovers to ensure continuity of care.
