Job summary

Crystalbrook Sam in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead the hotel overnight and support day‑to‑day operations from the opening phase. You will oversee Front Office, coordinate the overnight response, and ensure guest experiences are delivered with calm professionalism.

As a trusted overnight leader, you will set culture, standards and guest experience from day one, while handling night audit, safety procedures and cross‑team coordination with composure and confidence.

Job description

Crystalbrook Sam is coming to Adelaide, and we are looking for an experienced Night Manager to help bring this exciting new hotel to life. This is an opportunity to join the opening team, support day-to-day hotel operations and help create memorable guest experiences from the very beginning.

As Night Manager, you will take ownership of the hotel overnight, leading Front Office operations, supporting our guests, coordinating the wider hotel response and ensuring every detail is handled with confidence and care. This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, remains calm when the unexpected happens and understands that exceptional hospitality does not keep office hours.

You will be one of the most trusted leaders in the building overnight and an important part of establishing the culture, standards and guest experience of Crystalbrook Sam from the very beginning.

The Role

Reporting into our Front Office Manager, you will oversee the hotel during overnight operations and provide visible, hands‑on leadership across the guest journey.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Leading overnight Front Office and guest service operations
• Acting as the senior hotel representative during the night shift
• Creating a warm, professional and memorable arrival experience for late‑night and early‑morning guests
• Responding confidently to guest enquiries, requests, feedback and service recovery
• Supporting and guiding overnight team members
• Completing night audit and end‑of‑day processes accurately and efficiently
• Reviewing daily transactions, reports, payments and financial discrepancies
• Maintaining strong communication with security, housekeeping, maintenance and other operational teams
• Managing incidents, emergencies and unexpected situations calmly and professionally
• Ensuring hotel procedures, safety standards and operational policies are followed
• Preparing clear overnight handovers for the morning leadership team
• Identifying opportunities to improve the overnight guest experience and operational efficiency

About You

You are a calm and capable leader who enjoys responsibility and knows how to make sound decisions independently.

You Will Ideally Bring

• Previous experience as a Night Manager, Night Supervisor, Duty Manager or senior Front Office professional
• Strong hotel Front Office and guest service experience
• Experience completing night audit processes and working with hotel property management systems
• Confidence managing guest concerns and service recovery
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A high level of attention to detail and financial accuracy
• The ability to remain composed and solutions‑focused when situations change quickly
• A collaborative leadership style and genuine interest in supporting others

Previous experience within an upscale, luxury or lifestyle hotel environment would be highly regarded.
