Job summary

Crystalbrook Sam in Adelaide is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the Front Office during shifts, delivering confident, guest-focused service and smooth operations.

You will coach the Front Office team, manage guest feedback and resolutions, and collaborate with Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and Reservations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

This is a brand-new hotel, offering growth opportunities, a dynamic culture and the chance to shape service standards from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Office Supervisor or similar leadership position within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and guest services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort with handling guest concerns, priority management and service recovery.

• Lead our front office operation during your shift, creating confidence, clarity and momentum across the team.
• Create memorable guest experiences through genuine connection and thoughtful service.
• Coach and inspire the Front Office team with hands-on leadership.
• Own guest feedback and service recovery, resolving concerns calmly and commercially.
• Coordinate across departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Reservations) for a seamless hotel experience.
• Manage arrivals, departures and room movements while upholding presentation and service standards.
• Support VIPs, groups and special occasions with detailed guest recognition.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel systems, procedures, safety, and emergency requirements.
• Complete shift reporting, handovers and operational administration accurately.

Crystalbrook Sam is coming to Adelaide, and we are looking for engaging and confident Duty Managers to join our Front Office team.

This is an opportunity to step into a brand-new hotel from the beginning, help shape the way we operate and play an important role in creating the culture and guest experience Crystalbrook Sam will become known for.

As a Duty Manager, you will be a visible leader across the hotel - supporting our Front Office team, connecting with guests, resolving challenges with confidence and ensuring every shift runs smoothly.

You will know when to step forward, when to listen and when to make the call.

What you will be doing

• Lead our front office operation during your shift, creating confidence, clarity and momentum across the team
• Create memorable guest experiences through genuine connection, thoughtful service and a willingness to go beyond the expected
• Support and inspire our Front Office team, providing coaching, direction and hands-on leadership throughout the day
• Take ownership of guest feedback and service recovery, resolving concerns calmly, commercially and with the guest experience front of mind
• Coordinate across departments including Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Maintenance and Reservations to keep the hotel experience seamless
• Manage arrivals, departures, room movements and operational priorities while maintaining exceptional presentation and service standards
• Support VIPs, groups and special occasions, ensuring important guest details are recognised and delivered
• Maintain strong knowledge of hotel systems, procedures, safety and emergency requirements
• Complete shift reporting, handovers and operational administration accurately and consistently
• Bring ideas, challenge convention and look for better ways to elevate both the guest and collaborator experience

You will bring:

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Office Supervisor or similar leadership position within a luxury hotel environment
• Strong operational knowledge of Front Office and guest services
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Confidence handling guest concerns, complex situations and competing priorities
• A natural leadership style with the ability to coach, motivate and support others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and sound decision-making ability
• Experience with Opera PMS or Opera Cloudwould be highly regarded
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• The relevant working rights to undertake the position in Australia.
