Job summary

Elements of Byron, a beachfront resort, is seeking a Night Auditor to manage overnight operations, verify revenue, post transactions and produce daily reports. You will check in guests when required and carry out security checks.

Candidates should have previous night audit experience in a 4-5 star hotel or resort, be available to work four days a week on 10-hour shifts, and demonstrate leadership, attention to detail and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Night Audit role within a 4-5 star hotel/resort.
• Ability to train, lead and motivate a customer-focused team.
• Strong understanding of budget control and rostering.

Responsibilities

• Manage nightly resort operations between 9pm - 7am (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue) with 3 days off together.
• Verify revenue from all sources is accurately balanced and follow up on discrepancies.
• Post transactions as needed and perform end-of-day procedures.
• Produce daily reports for departments and department heads and transfer information to Accounting.
• Meet and greet guests as they arrive and complete check-in when required.
• Carry out nightly property/security checks.
• Analyse rate variance and monitor daily house count; monitor selling status.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage nightly resort operations between 9pm - 7am (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue) with 3 days off together
• Verify revenue from all sources is accurately balanced, follow up on any discrepancies
• Post any transactions needed
• Perform end-of day procedures
• Produce daily reports for departments and department heads - Compile and run statistical reports for all departments and transfer information to our Accounting department
• Meet and greet guests as they arrive and complete check in process when required.
• Carry out nightly property/security checks.
• Analyse rate variance, monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count. Monitor selling status of house daily.
• In conjunction with the Rooms Division Manager, develop, implement and monitor performance standards for operations in the department.
• Ensure the cleanliness standards of the resort are adhered to.

We are looking for someone who can quickly establish rapport, stay calm under pressure, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position working 4 days a week, 10 hr shifts, Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue with three days off each week.
