Job summary

Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to ensure smooth overnight operations across Front Office, financial reconciliation, reporting and guest services.

You will work largely independently, handling end-of-day processes, reconciliations and nightly reports while providing excellent guest service and maintaining security and operational oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience in Night Audit, Front Office or hotel duty management.
• Experience with SIHOT or another hotel PMS; training available.
• Strong Excel and Outlook skills.
• Good numerical ability and experience with reconciliations and reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage overnight situations calmly.
• Availability for overnight shifts, including weekends.

• Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports.
• Check in late arrivals and process early departures.
• Assist guests with overnight enquiries, requests and issues.

• Complete Front Office administrative and handover tasks for the following day.
• Communicate any incidents, discrepancies or outstanding matters clearly to the morning team and management.

Job description

As the Night Auditor, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation of the resort overnight. The role combines Front Office, daily financial reconciliation, reporting, guest service and overnight property oversight. You’ll work independently for much of the shift, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and comfortable making decisions when required.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the resort’s nightly audit and end-of-day processes.
• Reconcile accommodation, food and beverage, golf and other resort transactions.
• Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports.
• Check in late arrivals and process early departures.
• Assist guests with overnight enquiries, requests and issues.
• Monitor the property and respond appropriately to overnight security, safety and operational matters.
• Complete Front Office administrative and handover tasks for the following day.
• Communicate any incidents, discrepancies or outstanding matters clearly to the morning team and management.

About you

• Previous experience in Night Audit, Front Office, hotel duty management or a similar role is highly regarded.
• Experience with SIHOT or another hotel PMS is desirable, but training can be provided.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Good numerical ability and confidence working with reconciliations and reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Confidence working autonomously and managing overnight situations calmly.
• Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transport to and from the resort.
• Full-time permanent position with 38 hours per week.
• Regular overnight roster with shifts commencing from 7:00pm.
