Job summary

Little Locals Early Learning - South Ripley, QLD is seeking an experienced Centre Manager to lead a vibrant community and partnering with families to deliver high-quality care. You will drive a positive culture, coach educators and ensure child safety is central to everyday practice.

You'll bring a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Centre Manager experience, and a strong understanding of EYLF, NQS and regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Experience in Centre Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and National Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operation of the centre and manage the management team.
• Build a positive workplace culture and develop staff.
• Champion child safety and embed it in daily practice and decision-making.
• Oversee staffing, rostering, enrolments and occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with families and the wider Little Locals team to achieve goals.

About you:

You’re an experienced early childhood leader who knows that strong leadership is about more than managing the day-to-day. You lead with confidence, care and consistency, build strong relationships with your team and families, and aren’t afraid to get involved and support where needed.

Most importantly, you demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and understand the important role leaders play in creating and maintaining a child-safe culture. You lead by example, support educators to understand their responsibilities, and ensure children’s safety, wellbeing and best interests remain central to everyday practice and decision-making.

You’ll bring a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to guide, develop and empower educators to do their best work.

What you'll bring:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a Centre Manager role
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and National Regulations
• An understanding of the Assessment and Rating process
• A demonstrated commitment to child safety, wellbeing and creating a child-safe culture
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and educators
• A current Working with Children Check/Blue Card, or ability to obtain one

The Role:

As Centre Manager, you’ll lead the overall operation of the service and work closely with your management team, educators and Senior Managers to create a positive, high-performing centre.

Responsibilities:

• Leading, supporting and developing your team and creating a positive workplace culture
• Championing a strong child-safe culture and ensuring child safety is embedded in everyday practice, decision-making and leadership
• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the centre, including staffing, rostering, enrolments and occupancy
• Maintaining high standards of compliance, supervision, health, safety and wellbeing
• Supporting quality educational practice and continuous improvement across the service
• Building genuine, positive relationships with children and families
• Supporting educators to grow in their roles and contribute to the success of the centre
• Ensuring the service meets regulatory requirements and maintains strong standards across the National Quality Standard
• Working collaboratively with the wider Little Locals team to achieve centre and organisational goals
