Job summary

Astute Early Years Specialist in Queensland is seeking a Centre Manager to lead a handpicked team of educators and nurture strong relationships with children and families who genuinely love the centre.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, enrolments, budgeting, compliance and reporting, mentor staff, promote reconciliation and inclusion, and drive continuous improvement to keep the centre a warm, high-quality place to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or ACECQA equivalent.
• Proven leadership in an early childhood setting.
• Strong knowledge of NQF, EYLF and QLD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the centre, overseeing educators, compliance, operations, enrolments and administration.

About the role

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the centre — overseeing educators, compliance, operations, enrolments, and administration.
• Mentor and support a team of educators; promote a collaborative, positive work culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards (e.g. regulatory frameworks, centre policies, health & safety).
• Foster strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
• Drive continuous improvement — including staff development, program quality, and centre growth.
• Manage enrolments, budgets, resources, staffing and reporting as required

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent qualification), or an Advanced Diploma/Qualification in Early Childhood Services.
• Have proven leadership experience in an early childhood education setting
• Strong knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), early childhood curriculum frameworks, child development, and regulatory requirements relevant to Queensland childcare.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills — able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current valid First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma training
• Required Blue Card / Working With Children clearance for QLD
